About Laurent:

Born in Zurich, Switzerland and raised in Northern California, with a 2 year stint in Hamburg, Germany along the way, Dr Sigg attended University at Cal Berkeley, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Following graduation, work and travel took him through Europe, and then to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he spent 2 years as an orthopaedic surgical tech, and a part time avid skier and mountain biker, exploring the Sandia and Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

He completed Medical School at the University of New Mexico, and then moved on to complete a Pediatric Residency at one of the nation’s premier children’s hospitals, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Craving the sun and the great outdoors, he and his family moved to Layton, Utah, and have been working in the area ever since.

Dr Sigg enjoys all aspects of pediatric care, from well care, to sick and behavioral care, focusing on science based preventative care strategies. “I hope to provide my patients with the tools to take care of their own health, and sparking an interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle that lasts throughout their life.

Parent Feedback

I'm so happy we found Wee care when my 1st was born 13 years ago. Our doctor and MA really know my kids. Every interaction with the staff has been good. I really appreciate that the Layton office is also an after hours peds urgent care with weekend and late hours. My kids always get sick on Saturday night or Sunday when the regular urgent care is closed. It's very helpful that our pediatrician and the urgent care providers can see all the same history so they have a complete picture of my child's health or illness. It was such a relief to get care at 9pm when my 5 day old baby developed severe jaundice. And when my 5yr old slammed her baby brother's fingers in a door at bedtime. My kids are now using the counseling services Wee care offers. Finding mental health care that is covered by insurance and has openings can be such a barrier to overcome. Having a therapist in the practice has made getting my kids the support they need easy to navigate. I recommend Wee care to every family I know. And now my grandbabies see a Wee care pediatrician, too.
