Parents in their own words

“Dr. Chris was amazing! He took the time to explain everything to me clearly, all while making my toddler feel completely comfortable. He even made a balloon animal to demonstrate how to brush. Such a thoughtful touch! It was a great first-time experience, and we're looking forward to many years in Dr. Chris' care.”

Parent questions

Three and Under Free, explained.

Pediatric dentists recommend a first visit by your child's first birthday or within six months of their first tooth. Starting early means small problems get caught while they're still small, and the dentist's office becomes a familiar, friendly place. With Three and Under Free, those early visits are on us.

Not you. If your child has dental insurance, we send the claim to your plan. If they don't, we cover the cost ourselves. Either way, you won't see a bill or a co-pay for the visit, and you're under no obligation to keep coming back. We simply believe kids do better when dental care starts early.

Yes. There's no one-per-family limit. Every child who is three or younger on the day of the appointment qualifies.

Twice a year, the usual six-month checkup schedule, right up until their fourth birthday.

All three of our pediatric dental offices: Layton, Syracuse, and Roy. Book at whichever is closest to home, school, or work.

We'll keep caring for them. From age four on, visits are billed to your dental insurance like any regular checkup. If you don't have coverage, ask about self-pay options when you book.

You'll get a clear explanation and a recommended plan, and you decide what happens next. Treatment beyond the exam, cleaning, fluoride, and x-rays falls outside the free program, so it's billed to insurance or paid separately.

Completely normal at this age. Our team takes things slowly, lets you stay right beside your child, and pauses whenever they need a break. Plenty of first visits are mostly about getting comfortable.

Talk about the visit in a positive, low-key way, and bring your child's dental insurance card if they're covered. Plan to arrive a few minutes early for a short check-in.
