Dr. Ragsdale was born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and loved growing up in North Texas. He attended undergrad at BYU where he met his beautiful wife.
After medical school in Texas and residency in South Carolina, he made his way back to Utah to be closer to family and also enjoy the stunning natural beauty and family-friendly atmosphere of Utah. He and his wife have 4 children.
A big kid at heart, Dr. Ragsdale is a huge fan of everything superhero/sci-fi/fantasy including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Disney, and the Marvel/DC universe. He enjoys hiking/camping, reading historical fiction, acapella singing, and has developed a love for gardening.
While Dr. Ragsdale enjoys all aspects of newborn care and general pediatrics, he is especially drawn to obesity prevention and behavioral health (ADHD, Depression, Anxiety).
He chose to pursue Pediatrics because he found the most joy in taking care of both well and sick children while teaching parents how to prevent and manage the most common diseases of our time. His personal goal is to provide effective and evidence-based medicine in a timely and empathetic manner.
