James Fennell, M.D.

Dr. Fennell was raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, but now calls Utah his home. He received his Medical Degree from the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. He did his Pediatric Training at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern North Carolina (now Maynard’s Children Hospital), where he served his final year as Chief Resident. He considers his time serving the children of eastern North Carolina to be some of the most challenging and rewarding of his life.

While doing a third-year sub-internship at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, he fell in love with the people of the Beehive State and knew that this was where he ultimately wanted to practice.

Dr. Fennell enjoys good friends, good laughs, good music (especially “old school” R&B), science fiction, and college football. As the office can attest, he loves the Christmas holidays with a passion (and ignores the groans in the office when he insists on listening to the Christmas sounds of Nat King Cole, Michael Buble, and The Carpenters…in JUNE!) Ultimately, his greatest joy comes from the love he receives from both the parents and their kids.
