Cara Ahlstrom is a Family Nurse practitioner trained in caring for individuals throughout their life span. Her love lies in working with pediatric patients and their parents as partners in their healthcare needs. She currently works at Wee Care Pediatrics at the Roy location.
Cara spent 10 years working in advertising before deciding healthcare was her true passion. At which time she left to pursue this passion and obtain a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Utah. She spent her time as registered nurse providing care to the most vulnerable populations of sick and premature infants at the University of Utah hospital. It is there she gained a love for supporting families with their goals and providing education that allowed them to be champions of their own health. To further her ability to support patients in their health journey she then received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Weber State University in 2019.
Cara believes in treating her patients with compassion, integrity, and commitment to evidence-based care. She is certified with American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is committed to continuing education.
While Cara enjoys skiing, hiking, and reading in her free time, her favorite pastime is spending time with her husband and little boy.
