About Ben:

Living in Utah, Ben loves being close to family and finds the mountains, camping, and a good campfire hard to beat. When Ben isn’t in sessions, there’s a 90% chance he’s either spending time with his family or woodworking. For the past five years, he’s spent many evenings at the lathe creating bowls, vases, and one-of-a-kind artistic pieces.

Ben believes that kids are endlessly impressive and funny and is especially passionate about supporting kids and teens with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and challenging behaviors. He brings a strong focus on acceptance and mindfulness skills into his work. The core of his practice is Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), a values-based approach that helps kids and families change how they relate to life’s challenges and move toward what matters most to them, regardless of diagnosis.

Ben is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is certified in MATCH-ADTC, a structured, shorter-term CBT model for common youth mental health concerns. For children who have experienced trauma, he is trained in TF-CBT, one of the most well-researched and effective trauma treatments for kids.

Ben loves getting to know each child and family he works with and finds the most meaning in watching kids’ confidence grow and families move closer to the life they’re hoping for. He brings curiosity, humor, and genuine care into everything he does, especially when it comes to helping kids and families thrive.

Parent Feedback

Late tonight (Saturday just now) these wonderful people were gracious enough to see us just limited before closing time. Shelbie Suggs, FNP and her Assistant Kira helped get our son on some antibiotics and gave a breathing treatment. Saved a long weekend and started healing what was clearly a secondary bacterial infection after having the flu. So thankful for the help! Wonderful helpful staff, and so very grateful for an after hours visit. The staff here are knowledgeable and so helpful. Thank you kind people!
