this was our first visit here since we transferred! Dr Cara was absolutely wonderful and so sympathetic. You can tell she is a very experienced mother with how she was with our baby. I have never met a better pediatrician!
Amber has been a nurse since 2010. Her favorite job was taking care of the newborns at the hospital. But after her own newborn son spent time in the NICU, barely surviving Meningitis, she was driven to expand her nursing education to earn a Master’s degree. She obtained her clinical experience during her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program in Maryland at Children’s National Medical Center, Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, and a Johns Hopkins pediatric office.
After several years of living on the East Coast, Amber is glad to be back in Utah, where she grew up. Amber is a mom of five young children. While her family loved discovering Florida beaches, visiting historical sites in Washington DC, and hiking the green national parks of Maryland, Amber believes there is nothing better than living close to family.
As a family, they like to sleep out on the tramp, go 4-wheeling at her dad’s cabin, tube the river, and play sports. Amber likes to cheer embarrassingly loud for her kids at their many soccer and baseball games. She looks forward to training for a triathlon and traveling the world more.
From chubby babyhood, to toddler tantrums, to preschoolers’ hilarious comments, Amber finds every stage of childhood adorable. Having spent so much time being the mother of the sick patient, she now understands the importance of having a compassionate provider. Amber strives to ensure each child receives the care and attention they deserve.
