Jennifer Gilsoul

About Jennifer:

Dr. Gilsoul is board certified in Pediatrics and has been with the WCP family for over 15 years. She grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana and then moved to Texas to complete her undergraduate degree in Genetics at Texas A&M University (Whoop!). She earned her doctorate of medicine (MD) degree at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and then returned to Shreveport to complete her pediatric residency at LSU Health Science Center.

Despite all these affiliations, Dr. Gilsoul is unable have a coherent conversation about college football. More importantly, though, she is extremely knowledgeable about children and children’s health. “I love getting to know my patients and their families. It is so much fun to be a part of a child’s life and a proponent for their health as they develop and grow.” Her special interests are general pediatric and infant care, dermatology, infectious disease and mental health.

Dr. Gilsoul strives to practice evidence-based medicine including vaccinations, so is no longer accepting families who choose not to vaccinate according to the recommended vaccine schedule. She moved to Utah in 2006 with her husband and 2 children, as her family loves the mountains and all the outdoor activities they provide. Her children are now young adults, but luckily her dogs are still very needy. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, hiking, snow-shoeing, swimming, biking, reading, and, as always, hanging out with her husband and kids.

Parent Feedback

My experience at Wee care was amazing. I didn’t have a pediatrician picked out when I went into labor. One from Wee care rounded on me and was so considerate, kind and took time to answer my questions. Then a coordinator came to the room to schedule my follow up appointment. If you have kids you know anything that can be taken off your plate, even calling to schedule an appointment is a huge help. I saw a different doctor in the office and he was just as good at educating and taking time with me and my new baby. Not only that but they’re open till midnight if there’s problems or if I have a question.
