Free Baby Basics & Breastfeeding Class in Kaysville, Utah
Expecting parents get advice from every direction—family, social media, well-meaning strangers. Our Baby Basics & Breastfeeding class cuts through the noise: two focused hours with a Wee Care pediatrician, and a certified lactation specialist who will take your questions seriously.
You’ll leave with a real understanding of the first weeks at home—what’s normal, what’s not, how to handle early breastfeeding hurdles, which newborn and pregnancy warning signs actually matter, and what to expect at your baby’s first well-child visits. It’s practical, it’s free, and it’s taught by the same team that will be your child’s medical home.
Our Kaysville class is held at our Kaysville clinic, centrally located for families throughout Davis County—from Farmington and Fruit Heights to Centerville and Bountiful. Many families in our area deliver at Davis Hospital or Lakeview Hospital; our providers are familiar with both and can walk you through exactly what to expect during your newborn’s first hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
How large is each class?
Classes are kept intentionally sized—up to thirty expecting mothers, plus partners, for a total of around 30 to 60 people. It’s a group setting, but unhurried, and our team makes time to answer questions throughout.
Who should attend this class?
Expecting mothers and their partners, typically in the second or third trimester. First-time parents get the most out of it, but we see plenty of second-time parents too—particularly those returning for a breastfeeding refresher or whose new pregnancy feels different from before.
Do I need to be an existing Wee Care Patient?
Not at all. The class is open to any expecting family in the area regardless of patient status. We welcome the community, and a number of families do decide to join Wee Care after attending.
What should I bring to the class?
Nothing—we handle everything. Bring yourself and your partner if they’re joining you. Attending mothers receive a gift bag at the end of class.
Is Wee Care taking new patients?
Yes, we are always open to new patients. Book a newborn visit through our website once you’re ready to get started.
We already have one child. Is this class still worth attending?
Yes, often. Each pregnancy is different, and the class covers things that come up differently the second time around—especially breastfeeding. Parents with a gap between children, a NICU history, or a new partner frequently find it just as useful as they did the first time.
